Enoteca Regionale Emilia Romagna (ERER)
The Enoteca Regionale Emilia Romagna (ERER) is an association that operates since 1970 for the promotion and enhancement of regional wine heritage. That purpose was recognized in 1978 by the Region of Emilia Romagna with a special law, called the Enoteca Regionale Emilia Romagna “the most appropriate means to promote regional wine in Italy and abroad”. The association has over 270 members among producers of wine, balsamic vinegar and spirits, public authorities and local administration, sommelier associations representing the region. It activates several initiatives on the national and international territory, with the aim of raising the image and quality of Emilia-Romagna wine. To spread the presence of Emilia-Romagna wine on Italian tables creating close relations and connections with trade associations, wine bars, restaurants, wine bars and delis.
Important strides have been made in trying to keep the wines closer to the culture and traditions of the territory, through a strong partnership with the different Consortia of regional products. To this end, the Enoteca promotes and participates in several activities that emphasize the synergistic combination of Emilia-Romagna wines with other Emilia-Romagna culinary excellences. The main activities carried out by Enoteca Regionale Emilia Romagna are:
• Exhibitions and workshops – representing regional wine sector in numerous trade fairs in Italy and abroad, spreading and disseminating information on Emilia Romagna wines for the operators of the HORECA and the trade of the markets of greatest interest.
• Communication – operating press office and media relations, website and newsletter, development and management of image bank Enoteca Regionale Emilia Romagna.
• Educational and Press Tour – organizes visits and activities for the knowledge of the wines and the wine territories of the region addressed to the operators of the HORECA channel and to the national and international press.
• Permanent exhibition - located in the evocative basement of the Rocca Sforzesca di Dozza, the exclusive seat of the association, it houses around 800 labels selected by a special tasting commission.
The activities of the Dozza headquarters since 2007 have been added to those carried out in the new Enoteca at the Casa Artusi food and wine culture center in Forlimpopoli (FC).
