PROWEIN 2023

The Agronutritional Cooperation of Region of Central Macedonia was represented as part of the European program SUSTEM / Sustainable European food and wine from the Mediterranean at the International Wine-Beverage Exhibition, PROWEIN 2023 in Düsseldorf.

In addition to marketing and marketing of the products, the aim of the specific project is: to highlight the sustainability of the agriculture and food sector in the region and its contributions to tackling climate change and protecting the environment and to highlight the sector's contribution to critical contemporary issues (loss and food waste - sustainable food consumption).

Many visitors had the opportunity to try Macedonian PDO and PGI wines in different flavors, dry, semi-dry, sweet, semi-sweet, rosé, red, white, etc. B. Protected name of origin (Goumenissa, Naoussa, Plagies Melitona) and Protected Geographical Indication (Athos, Epanomi, Imathia, Thessaloniki, Macedonia, Nea Mesimvria, Pella, Pieria, Plagies vertikos, Plagies Paikos, Serres, and Chalkidiki) and Tsipouro of Macedonia.

The program, funded by the European Union, is implemented within the framework of the European Union's efforts in cooperation with the Agronutritional Cooperation of Region of Central Macedonia, to increase the consumption of quality wines with SUB and SGB, as well as the entire range of products produced from central Macedonia, to strengthen local production and economy.

In collaboration with the Unified Winemaking Agricultural Cooperative of Samos and Enoteca Regionale Emilia Romagna, the project aims to support and promote the internal and external market, as measures will be implemented in Germany, Sweden and Italy to highlight the traditional products in each region belonging to the implementing body of the project, as well as to promote the huge local culinary tradition in these areas.
